Lancaster NDT Course Proves a Success
The recent Global School of NDT Phased Array Level II course at Lancaster University proved to be a success.
Taking place in the Lancaster House training suites, with delegates arriving from venues as diverse as Morecambe and Amsterdam, the first day was a good chance for everyone to get to know each other whilst cracking straight on with the course syllabus.
The course took place over two weeks, including examinations, so involved working all weekend as well as weekdays. The advantage of doing it this way is that it means only two weeks off the shop floor for employees, rather than letting the exams run on into a third week, which is the traditional approach. This express style of training is one of the key benefits of GSNDT courses.
As with all new technologies, computer skills are developed over the duration of the course, and it was pleasing to see our most seasoned candidate prove, consistently, with time and diligence, that mastering the Omnisacn and OmniPC software was not difficult.
Speaking about the course, Managing Director Bob Scholes said: ‘Everyone enjoyed the training, it was a very productive two weeks and delegates left feeling very confident to apply the skills they had gained, which is what we strive for.’
Feedback from the delegates was very positive, rating the course as either ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’ for all aspects of the feedback form.
One delegate said: ‘Training and coursework given prior to the exam was excellent and delivered in such a relaxed environment.’
While another sent a personal thank you to Bob, saying: ‘Thanks for all your effort during the past couple of weeks. I thought you were an excellent teacher.’
